Square taper spindle for Raleigh DL-1
I really don't know how bottom brackets are sized, and I would like to see if I can get a bb spindle, square taper, or an entire bb set, for my DL-1.
I know, it's wider.
I'd like to mount an alloy crankset. I need to know what parts I'll be looking for.
Thanks.

I've used older mtb spindles...I can't remember if it was a 5 series or 7 series spindle. I used the raleigh cups. Another option is the velo-orange expandable bb.

Well, call me lazy, I can go measure what I've got, width to the races, overall length, and off sets per side.
It is a lot longer and spaced wider than any other spindle I have.
I guess I'm looking for someone to tell me "they don't make any such thing" and save me a bunch of trouble.

No, it's wider than a Sports.
Ok, I'll go measure.
The bb shell is 75 mm
The spindle is 65mm wide to the center of the races, and 142mm overall.
I'm thinking a sq. taper spindle would be about 130mm overall.

There's a handy chart at the bottom of this page.

Thanks Sailor,
The widest one in the chart isn't even close.
