Need help identifying this Crescent I just found.
I just got it today. I can't post pics until I have two more posts so bear with me a second.

Ok, I picked this up today at a pawn shop. I had never heard of them but I certainly recognized the parts on the bike. It's a Crescent Varldsmastarcykeln. I'm not sure if that's the model or just their logo. It's loaded with Campy parts, fd,rd, hubs and gear shifters. Mafac "Racer" brakes and sugino crankset. I'm working out the picture posting thing.

That's great info scooper. None of them described mine exactly but close to the Mark XI.

The gears are so much smaller compared to my other bikes. Are these more for racing?

You’ll spend $80 or more for a new pair of tubular tires. But clincher tires will require new rims or finding a set of used wheels.

The subject bicycle is a circa 1974 Crescent Pepita Professional Competition 318. The original SunTour V-GT derailleurs have been replaced with Campagnolo Nuovo Record. Basically it is the same model as the Mark XI but with a Reynolds 531 frame.
It's not the 320, which was full Campagnolo Record except the brake and was only available in Orange. It's not the 319, which used Campagnolo Valentino derailleurs and a steel, cottered crankset. The combination of white paint, Tipo hubs, Racer brakes and a Sugino Mighty crankset identifies it as the 318. The only incorrect components are the derailleurs.

They used to be referred to as corncobs or straight blocks, freewheels in which each increasingly larger cog was only one tooth larger. Your smallest cog is a 15T so this might be a junior's freewheel, gearing mandated for younger riders.

T-Mar and I have discussed the colour bit of these frames earlier and before. In Sweden there were, to my knowledge and (long) experience, no white 318, 319 or 320 sold. They were all orange over here. I have yet to find a 318-320 in Sweden, in its original paint, in other than orange here in its home market. I wrote it the last time it was up here on BF - in Sweden Crescents "top bikes" were supposed/expected to be orange. Monarks were supposed/expected to be blue. Probably they felt more free on/in other markets.
Your example looks like it is in very good shape. Only thing to be awere of/check is that some of these had toe clip overlap. Not a big problem as long as you are awere of it. There also was a mix and match in thead standards. Often French at the BB and pedals but English at the headset - at least on the 320.
