That there would be the inspiration I need to put my red Waterford Paramount next in the build queue. Gorgeous,

BTW which Trek model is that? I am unfamiliar with orange vintage Treks, unless they are repainted or powder coated.
Aw, heck. I know you didn't mean nothin' by it. (Although if you look at some of my builds, you'd be spot on. But not this one!) That's a True Temper tubed '88 Trek 400; my first PC job; original paint, in wretched condition when I got it as a F/F, was light blue with yellow decals. It's all Tri Color shifters, derailleurs, hubs and brakes. Crank is triple-to-compact-double Sakae SX. You saw this one out in the yard that sunny weekend you came to whip us all up Hurricane Ridge Road.

And speaking of TriColor, have any of you mad scientists out there done a Deore-donor long-cage conversion on a TriColor RD? I'm wondering how to go about that sort of thing and which Deore derailleur model makes the right donor. I've probably got one or two in stock, but haven't had the nerve to start taking things apart.

Thats a fine Ironman. I have one of my own. 105 for the most part instead of 600 Tricolor.
