Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Uh, pretty sure 'Tour form' is the only kind of form Andy has.

Well he did show up for the Ardennes.

And throws his Specialized to the ground. I wish I could afford to do that with my bike.

If someone else gave you a bike, you would treat it that way too.

It's not clear... There is not much footage of any of the crashes...

It's incredible how these guys crash, lose minutes off the peloton and regain them in no time... Look at Evans yesterday, he had some problems and lost a couple of minutes, then came back to win the stage...

Looks like Contadork is back in it. He sure is having issues though with this tour though. Starting to remind me of Lance's last tour.

Being with others most certainly helps. That being said, I don't get how these break away groups don't fare better than they do. The peloton will almost always catch them it seems. Almost like they break away too early in the stage

It's much easier to be a part of that group of riders on a motorcycle than actually training for the TdF

With any luck maybe this will be Contadoosh's last tour. Wouldn't that be grand.

Unless you are riding up Mt. Zonocolon. I seem to remember motorcycles blowing up in the Giro trying to reach the summit this year, as the cyclists rode on past.

Contadoosh?

This is why it was smart when the mods nuked all the freaking pro cycling threads to the 217. Idiotic.

Apparently some people cannot appreciate the pure genius that is PCAD. Actually I confused it. It is Cavendoosh, and Contadoper. My bad.

So what about that intermediate sprint? While I like Boonen, and his coke binging ways that sprint was ugly, and he should be relegated. Especially after Thor was relegated a few days back.

Never mind looks like he went down, and broke his collar bone. WTF, is this a bike race, or a demolition derby?

I think of the sadistic course designers sitting in their nice air-conditioned trailer or tent at the finish watching the pain out on the road cackling in sheer delight...
