Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Socks match jersey. No other coordination. Just socks and jersey.

You should actually weigh yourself after a shower to get rid of all those dead skin cells and after you use the bathroom. Just make sure you're dry after the shower. banerjek is correct, even I weigh-in daily. You should not weigh yourself first thing in the morning however, due to varying amounts of dehydration that you may have. I weigh myself in the evening after I shower/use the bathroom but before I eat dinner.

i'm right-handed btw
I too do everything in a similar fashion. I will put on the left shoe, then the right shoe. Then I will strap the left shoe, then the right shoe etc etc. As for unclipping, I actually unclip the right foot every time, always look over my left shoulder, but drink with my right hand only.

I am a lefty however.

Seems like most "regulars" hang around for 2 years or so before they leave for a variety of reasons. Others stick around for a shorter period of time.

This thread has made me realize how much BF has screwed up my brain. It never occurred to me to interpret OCP any way other than the BF way until ahsposo said he thought the P stood for Personality. I guess it makes sense if you think about it, but thinking has never been something I do when on BF.

It was quite a shock when I saw the title of that thread and the opening post.

That thread was before my time but when I saw references to it I thought the "P" was replacing Disease because so much of cycling can be, well, Obsessive Compulsive. And instead of thinking of it as a malfunction thinking of it as just a character trait.

Shows how wrong you can be.

Yep! Sad, ain't it? Part of it is to minimize the possibility of the Cat 5 tattoo. Another is that I always walk the bike from the left side, again, to stay away from the chain, etc. It really does feel wrong to me if I ever get on from the drive side.

Just as a curiosity, EVERY time to you swing a leg over the bike you immediately clip in and go? I'm betting that leg puts a foot down a good bit of the time. Glove adjust, helmet adjust, package adjust, zero out the computer, oh wait-junior isn't ready to go, etc., etc...it happens.

It's too bad it's 6 years old and a lot of what must have been pretty good bike porn is gone.

Amazing how many themes re-occur over and over in these forums. Underwear under bibs for example.

My favorite OC post from this was deciding on a sport drink based on color coordination with your bike.

I don't care who you are. That's OC...

This thread needs pictures of riders and their rigs, so that we can judge the extent of the OCPness.

Interesting
Seems like a lot of us are old timers in this thread. I think posting in the 41 burns you out. I live in Foo now and come here every now and then to remind myself why.
