Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hunting, fishing, kayaking (especially kayak fishing), backpacking, building and flying giant scale radio control airplanes (up to 42% full size), building and restoring just about anything. I build wooden boats from pirogues and canoes up to 19' skiffs, and have built a number of teardrop style travel trailers.

Here's my latest tiny trailer which makes an excellent base camp while traveling out west and backpacking.

I've heard that Belgians are taught in school how to build houses and that a lot of Belgians build their own house. Any truth to that?

As for myself, I thoroughly enjoy video games and my home theater. I am always looking to buy and tinker with the next new gadget. Just now starting to get into playing a guitar. Back in the USA I have my 1996 Cobra just dying for some attention though

It may be time to buy a new fast car (Mustang GT or higher of course)

Slow Pitch Softball. Play for between 3 and 4 teams each summer in different leagues.

I can't tell you how many times guys laugh at me when I roll up on the road bike, only to get silent when I take 3rd on a bobbled single (60ft bases).

Was a fairly avid bowler. Haven't really done much in the last couple years though. Gets to be a little expensive. Because we all know, biking is cheap.

Your location says "Overpelt, Belgium" so I assume you are just jokin' around, right?
In case you were serious ... there is no truth at all to what you heard. Only if you actually choose to learn about construction will you learn anything about it in school.

However ... building a house isn't that hard. People did that stuff in the middle ages and before that ... it's just a bit more complicated these days and better insulation obviously.
For anyone knowing a bit about various technical things and wanting to put the work in it should be feasible.
If you do everything yourself it takes many years though

Shooting. Some long distance stuff, really any kind of range time is fine with me. I also accurize and hand load for my own rifles.

Lots of other stuff I like to do and I'm involved in but biking, hunting, shooting, high school wrestling (I coach) and weight training takes my time.

In my spare time I work for juvenile probate court.

Slow pitch softball is my forte. Kinda impossible to carry my bat bag to the games though so I drive my car.

I wish I was joking, I heard that from some Americans stationed here. I took it with a grain of salt, as if it were true, then there would be houses under construction everywhere. I am however impressed with how well houses/lawns are upkept here. This country is beautiful!

Sports are also atop my list. There isn't a sport under the sun I wouldn't at least try to play. If I play something I almost always have to have my own gear. I own no less than 6 tennis rackets, 3 bowling balls (193 average bowler), a few softball bats, ultimate frisbees, frolf frisbees, ping pong paddles etc etc. One sport I have yet to try on an actual course however is golf, kind of hard to find lefty clubs, let alone lefty clubs that are +1 or +2 in length

That's neat.

Quad is the way to go, but that rig was only built to OC. The e8500 EO chip OC's very well and as you see I hit 5 ghz with it. My daily rig is a quad AMD chip running at 4 ghz on water and the video card is a ATI 4870x2 with its own water cooling loop.

Yes thats a dual 120mm radiator and those delta fans are pulling 150 CFM's of air each through it.

My main gaming rig.
Have since pulled the 3-4870 video cards that were in tri-fire and replaced them with a single 4870x2 (dual core) card. The 3-120mm radiator at the top of the case cools the video card and the 2-120mm radiator at the bottom of the case cools the processor.
