Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm keeping the leg fur knocked down with clippers. Will go back to the blades next time we get two 60 degree days back to back.

Why do people shave their legs in the first place ? I don't think there is any performance advantage and if so I'm still in no way going to shave my legs. BTW I'm a male

Kind of kinky. My wife loves my legs when shaved. Heightens the skin on skin feel. Really the main reason for the pros is to make massages easier, the oil is more effective when shaved. Like putting sunscreen on hairy legs versus shaven face. Also easier to remove tape when injured. No speed enhancement.

Yeah, if you ride all winter, you are going to get massages all winter, so you need to maintain the legs the same as summer. I guess the guys that sit around and get fat don't need to bother.

I do it mostly because it's easier to clean after a ride. Bugs, road grim, dirt etc and sweaty hair don't mix well. It's much easier when the shower water washes most of it away.

Dunno. Do you use an electric shaver, and if so, how many watts does it draw at full power?
