WTB: 70s La Pre Alpina roof rack and parts
Searching for an old La Pre Alpina roof rack and/or parts thereof, for a 60s car with chrome gutters.
Would be interested in any period-correct, chrome-laden, sturdy roof rack system. Extra interest if campy dropouts are involved.
Have cash and/or lots of vintage campy/suntour parts and frames/etc for trade.
Found some photos on JP Weigle's Flickr photostream:

I got you!
I have a complete La Pre Alpina rack assembly for two bikes that once rode on a BMW 1600 with gutters, might even come with a couple spare parts IF I can locate them...then the next hurdle is how to get them from SF to TX?
PS: I'm selling the 1968 BMW, too...eventually! I promise that I am!

I've got some miscellaneous NOS LP rack components, left over from when our shop switched to Thule back in the early 1980s. I'll dig them out and let you know what I've got.

The one in the back is gone, however. And there are more steel things that need a departure.

I will make a check around and give you an update via PM hopefully later today but what I should find is the complete rooftop rack with fittings for 2 bikes and their detached front wheels, the "extras" might be 2 NOS "cradles" for 2 (more) rear wheels which, practically speaking, are spares for the 2 on the rack

I had one on my old '72 220D "Trudy". The roof rack got lost/forgotten during a move and hasn't been seen since. Hopefully it found a nice car to sit atop. That rack was amazing, considering what I asked of it.
