hope thats not what your 2012 riding is going to look like. First couple rides back on the horse can be kind of devistating mentally. get back on it and get your groove back, then you will start enjoying yourself again.
Seems like each year when I start getting into my rythm again at the beginning of the year I always have the same thoughts....
"Have I gotten what I wanted out of cycling and am now feeling done with it?" after 2 or 3 weeks of good riding, my conditioning comes back and I'm out riding and loving it.

Well I hope your ride wasn't an indication of the rest of your year.

Cycling Rules
Rule #9 / If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Fair-weather riding is a luxury reserved for Sunday afternoons and wide boulevards. Those who ride in foul weather – be it cold, wet, or inordinately hot – are members of a special club of riders who, on the morning of a big ride, pull back the curtain to check the weather and, upon seeing rain falling from the skies, allow a wry smile to spread across their face. This is a rider who loves the work.

I'll do my first ride in 2012 @ 43F tomorrow. Warmest temp. so far this year and it's winter. Thanks Global Warming.
Try living in the East.
