I owned this early '90s Marin Eldridge Grade bike until I sold it a couple months ago. It was a pretty decent bike. Mountain biking isn't my thing. I like the fast skinny tire bikes.

Some beautiful bikes here. That Gordon, wow.
I am a flatlander and have no real business owning a mountain bike, but I have this 1992 Stumpjumper Comp. It’s a great all-rounder and a total kick to ride.

Agree with everything you said except the white. Chrome is what gets double extra points.

Bruce only built a handful of what he called mountain touring bikes with 26" wheels and flat handlebars in the mid '80s. The tubing is a mix of SP and Tange stays & blades with 70 head angle, 72 seat angle and 4cm BB drop. The bike is built to take the Bruce Gordon F/R mountain racks. Every bike is custom so there is no set built spec, my example is set up with a mix of 6 spd DX/XT and Deer Head components with Specialized hubs and Saturae rims. A fillet brazed bullmoose paint to match.

Still looking for that pioneer maker of Mountain Bikes manufactured in Sunny Saint Cloud Minnesota - American Bicycle Manufacturing ABM. I have seen very few so no picture here. Beautiful and leading edge at that time.

American Bicycle Manufacturing M-16 from 1990 at classic cycle | Classic Cycle Bainbridge Island Kitsap County
