Raleigh Bikes - Does Anyone Collect?
I have a Raleigh bike that I have stored in my shed for years - time to find it a new home.
I believe it was built in 1991.
It is in good condition but has not been used for quite a few years.

Raleigh, like any large bike company, has made everything from very low end to very high end bicycles, so without more detail it’s impossible to say if there’s any value in what you have. In lieu of pictures (which you can’t show til you’ve made 10 posts), some information that would help includes:
-model
-components (or any names you can make out on them)
-condition
-your location

Hello,
That explains why I was not able to post photos - I did attempt to do so.
I bought the bike new, likely around 1991.
We did locate the numbers on the frame that helped confirm the age.
It is in pretty good condition, but has not been used for quite a few years.
It would not have been a high end bike - it was one that I bought to ride on city trails for a few years.
It has the name "Highlander" on it and the shifter is Shimano 100GS.
4130 Cromoly on the frame.
I think the term that was used at that time was a "hybrid".
Location is Vancouver Island in BC, Canada.
If there is some way that I can send photos, let me know - happy to do so.

It's a good bike but not particularly "collectable".

If you just want to move it on you might try online venues like craigslist or facebook marketplace.
Where are you on the island? There might be a bike coop in Nanaimo you could donate it to if you'd rather donate.
Does it look like this (not my pic)?

Although you cannot post pics (yet) they are viewable in your picture album. This kind of bike will not interest collectors. It looks like it is in good cosmetic condition though, and worthy of rehoming. I suggest posting it on Facebook or CL for a reallistic amount.
Also, thank you for letting me know that the photos can be seen in my picture album.
Unfortunately a few duplicates, as I was trying to include them in my original post.

Good suggestions - thank you!
And I am close to Nanaimo.
I did try to post photos and they now appear in my picture album - which will show you the type of bike, if you are able to access that.
Looks a bit different than the photo you were able to locate.
Thanks for your help!

I guess the only thing I can add is this link to hub city cycles https://www.hubcitycycles.ca/
I'm not from the island myself, so I'm only familiar with the coops in Vancouver. But if they are like the coops here then they would probably take donations.
So it just depends if you want to sell online or some other way, or donate it. Good luck.
