Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have one, it came with the frame, but it’s steel and I prefer the Easton one.

Thing about the saddle is it’s comfy.

Dives back into the parts box and pulls out another one that I like. Needs to go back about another 3mm.

White tape, white stem, white saddle. In your case, the white saddle with some black goes swell with the black hoods, white everything else.

They're out there, but man.. I've never priced them prior to this. Not sure scrounge is the right word.

Might as well go retro and put a Suntour Ole or Shimano Sante group on. There's no getting around the black fork unless you photoshop.

After looking at it again, I'd cover up the decals on the fork, rattlecan it with matching paint, fill in the black on the decals with the matching paint and start over.

I talked to Richard about it but he closed up shop before I committed and it was a one off color when I ordered the frame so it would be very hard to match.

If you like the CF fork a lot better........
Leave it on the bike. Put the parts on which you like the best. Don't post it in Hot or Not. Problems solved.

I like the white saddle better with the bar tape. Needs black seatpost and stem though.

Don't think I ever posted my Bottecchia in here, old school looks with some more modern touches. Frame and original Mavic starfish crank from 1989, but running more modern 20 speed Camapg brifters, derailleurs, brakes and 28c tyres.

If you're really interested and wanted to paint the fork., I'll bet an autobody shop could match the color

For some bikes the black background is terrible/all wrong. For others, it's the bees knees. That opinion seems to vary on this thread. What's up with the non drive side pedal? Looks like a piece of angle iron/aluminum? Is that a strip of rattlecan paint on the headtube, or a handlebar shadow? It looks like a pretty color, but I can't tell because of the dark background. I'm on the fence like a Mugwump.

Edit: Both derailleurs are emitting a brown/gold/orangeish hue. Nothing else on the bike is except for maybe the top of the rear brake disc. Strange.

Non-drive side pedal is in a stand that slips over the crank arm. My kid 3D printed it. It's similar to this but black:

No rattle can paint at all. It's a shadow.

Not sure what caused the orangish hue on the "chrome" parts other than some different light reflections. Could fix in P'shop, but didn't.

This was just the result of putzing around with cameras on a rainy day. A white background may have been better. Wanted to do something other than a garage door background.

I have two. They are handy.

It's what you get after raising a kid for 25 years and putting them through college and grad school.
