Rotor 11-39 12S With Shimano GRX RX820
Morning!
I just purchased a Canyon Grizl AL 7. It has the 12 speed GRX groupset. My previous bike was the previous Gen Grizl AL 7 with the 11 speed groupset. I was using the Shimano 11S 11-40 cassette on that bike (2X setup 46-30 cranks) and I absolutely Loved my climbing gear with the 11-40 cassette. With the 12S on my new bike it comes with the 11-36 cassette and that’s just not quite enough for the steep gravel roads. I’m wondering if there is anyone here who has used the Rotor 11-39 12S cassette with a 2X Shimano GRX groupset. Or for that matter, any 12S cassette in the range of 11-38 to 11-40 with GRX groupset and Shimano HG Freehub.
Thanks!!

3 teeth over specified max teeth for reach cog, and 3 teeth over max wrap
shimano is known to be conservative (2 teeth normally not a problem)...but you may or may not be dealing with less than perfect shifting if you push it too far, only way to know is to try
