Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The cap? keeps coming off my left crank. 3 times in 2 rides...only cuz I put it in my pocket at that point. Does this thing serve any purpose other than keeping dust out? Can I leave it off and/or will I regret Loctite-ing this puppy on?

I have the SL-K's. I never had a problem with them coming off, but after taking them off for some BB maintenance... I figured, why bother? It's only 500 miles later, but so far, so good.
