Welcome.
Long time tandem riders - a pretty rare occurence. My wife dropped out long ago, the kids no longer stoke either. Sometimes I ride it as a single, calling it strength training, but actually it's about a few memories.

welcome! Tandem riding was something I really enjoyed as a kid. Really memorable experience when my dad and I were riding in the MS-150 in Arizona. We were on the final 30mi leg of the ride going the long route, up some really grueling hills that were several miles long. I was stoking, but for a while I was just going on and on about what I wanted for christmas, meanwhile, my dad was up front dying and finally said hey could you please pedal!? I realized we were still riding, started pedaling, and we flew up those hills. I think I was probably 12 at that point?

Great times.
