The day I worry about what someone thinks about what I wear, LOL!
A little sample, don't really care if this offends or not. I like getting stuff that matches up to the bike and don't spend any time worrying if it might be a team kit or not. I'm the one riding the miles so who cares what anyone else thinks.
Rode all these the same day wearing that as a 30 year tribute to Greg's amazing TT TDF win.

I see that you're not beholden to conversational context. I'll take that as a concession that, indeed, your previous comments were nonsensical.

I'll only wear a club jersey, otherwise it's mostly bland-looking clothing.
I find this topic about cycling team jerseys interesting. When I was playing soccer, if you showed up for a pick-up game at the park while wearing a replica team jersey, you were a "marked man." It was like hanging a sign on your back that said, "Please tackle me violently!"

I only wear club/team jerseys. Just about everyone on "10-speed" bikes wears them in my locale. I buy used on ebay. Obscure local club jerseys from Italy and France. Then I try and research who and where these clubs were or are. Its gauranteed no one else will be wearing the jersey I am wearing on Sunday morning rides.
Back in the day I would have loved a Molteni jersey. Just not a available then. I did wear a Cool Gear/Exxon jersey once, in a Madison event. And a Velo-Club Roubaix/RRB in a mixed gender Madison, very fun.

oof. downhillmaster apparently missed that day in English 101 when they discussed analogies.
I only see his posts when they're quoted, but is he really illiterate enough to think that people are claiming aero benefits from the logos?

To support our local club and our team, I've purchased many kits throughout the years and wear them often.
Was that a poll choice?

Frankly, it's gotten to the point where I'm unsure if mockery is appropriate. At the same time, I don't know how to post in a way that translates to speaking more slowly and conveys charitable smiles for small accomplishments.

It may be apocryphal, but I once heard about a poet who was asked to explain one of his works; his reply was, "You want me to say it worse?"

If we are going to change the post to be talking about kits, then I'll have to modify my answer more than likely. I was only talking about Jerseys. Different preferences might apply for shorts or bibs, socks shoes and etc.
However kit is a proper term for ones entire cycling wardrobe. So one shouldn't have issues with the word kit.
I realize the OP said apparel... no need to point that out! Most of the replies seemed to only be concerned with jerseys

Why is anyone supposed to care if it bugs you? That's your eccentricity and it's not my problem.
This is also ironic coming from you as you post again and again insulting other people's preferences. That's obviously intended to bug people who like things you don't.
By the way:
Kit, kit, kit.

So a single-syllable, three-letter word whose meaning is abundantly clear should be thrown over for a cumbersome, 16-letter, three-word term that means exactly the same thing, just because it bugs you and your friends? Good luck with that.
