I have a Park tool that I've used for several decades with no problems. There are also 5 or 6 various makes in the drawer that I never use but I guess are JIC things since I never sell a tool.

I have similarly never had a problem with my park tool, but I don't tend to work with cranks that I haven't put on the bike myself with lots of thread cleaning and lubrication first.
