Lower back ache

For my age of 85, I have been blessed with outstanding health. But now and then, I do get some lower back pain. My question is do other bent riders find that riding our bents with their sling seats actually make your back feel better. For me a 20 mile ride almost always get rid of the pain.

A friend enhanced his Bella's seat back by adding a compression strap around the seat, with a tea towel of the appropriate thickness folded around it, located where he needed support. That's a low cost experiment to try.

Riding my road bike also gets rid of back pain. Walking is also a very good core exercise, particularly 3 mph or so.

Good on you. We are all different. At 73 when osteoarthritis is keeping me off my road bikes a Terratrike lumbar support on my Catrike helps me.

A few years ago, I read a post here by someone (don't remember who) that there were some days he didn't feel like going riding, but there were no days that he rode and regretted going on a ride. I've found that to be true for myself, both before I got sick and since I've been back on the pedals. Exercise helps you feel better and keep moving. The "David Rides A Trike" YouTube channel said it best. He kept riding as long as he could, almost right up to the end.

Hasn't the OP been telling us that a bent is the way to avoid all pain while riding?

If I read the opening post correctly, he was saying that he had found that riding his recumbent helped relieve the lower back pain he suffered from off the bike. He was asking if other recumbent riders also found that riding their recumbents helped with their lower back pain.
