Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Hubs are rarely properly adjusted straight from the factory and the grease isn't always the best either. Taking the time to fine tune the hubs for the best speed possible can make a difference and extend their lifespan. Always a good idea to take a look and even recheck them once they've been ridden a while and have had time to bed in.

While most reputable bicycle manufacturers aim for quality control, variations can occur in the initial setup of components, including hubs. It's common for factory adjustments to be set conservatively to ensure reliability. The quality of grease used in hubs can vary, and it may not always be the best for your specific riding conditions. Some cyclists choose to upgrade to higher-quality grease to reduce friction and increase the efficiency of the hubs.
