I have a NIB Tange Passage steel 1" threaded headset with a 27.0 crown race. I also have a Shimano 600 threaded headset (which I have only cleaned up a couple pieces of after taking it off the 1973 RRA it came to me on. I also have a pair of 32 hole silver velocity flip-flop hubs which came to me on a set of wheels that I got that didn't work out for the bicycle I thought I would put them on (modern hubs and 50's track bike are not meant to be used together).
This is the NIB Tange. Below is the Shimano 600 take-off. It is sound, but in the rush to take pictures, I haven't cleaned the grease off most of it yet.
and the hubs...
At any rate, I have recently inventoried ALL my projects, and these three items just don't need to stay here.
Here are some things that I could use though, and perhaps a trade (or trades) could be worked.
a threaded headset that looks like the Tange, but with a 26.4 crown race (in good condition), or just the crown race if someone can confirm that the rest of the headset is compatible with the narrower crown race - I'm not a headset expert.
Fresh "road" brake blocks that would look appropriate for road bicycles from the 70's. I have 4 - 5 bikes that need full replacements.
Rim strips - 700c in medium width
Schraeder tubes (not the long stems) for 700c x 28 - 32
a couple 6-speed chains (new or lightly used)
clamp-on silver bottle cages (and clamps)

I have a NIB steel Tange Passage with no script if that's close enough. I need a 26.4 and have 27.0. Send me a PM if interested. I could toss a little something extra to even the deal out if you prefer.

Hey Law, I've got this no-script similar to USAZorro I ordered for $13 off Amazon a while back, but it's 30.3 / 27.0. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You know how I roll, no trade necessary, but looks like it may not suit your needs.

The passage HS are nice and I already have one. Was looking for a scripted Tange for my Sekine SHS.
Thanks anyway!

The front is 100mm (which is why I took the wheels apart). I thin the rear is 128. I'm away from home and navigating from my phone, but I do have the exact measurements in the For Sale forum from 3-4 weeks ago.

ISO: 116BCD chain rings, BUT, I'm looking for something smaller than normal.
I know they didn't make them in compact sizes (that would have made sense, but it's Campy)
However, looking for smaller than 39 in the small ring, and a 50 or so in the big ring.

Foul! Turning the bike upside down without protecting the tape and saddle! With STI shifters no less!

If it's in good to excellent, and ready to ride, yes, for a Y-Foil. This looks like it has a mix of components.
1-Make sure the fork is the original, as the geometry depends on the tall fork crown area.
2-Make sure the cable routing guides are intact and not cracked.
3-Check the FD mount and the bottle cage mount for damage.
4-Check the RD hangar.
5-Check the top of the seat tube for any issues with the carbon.
6-Ask about/check the BB. It's an aluminum sleeve inside the carbon shell, and easily damaged by heavy-handed wrenches.
I was looking for a 50cm for a friend, and one came up, which I sent to her. Not sure if she bought it. Her plan was a total makeover.
I was looking for a 54cm for myself, and paid just under $800 for one, shipped, to me (which was a 59cm, not a 54cm, as advertised.)
With the OEM DA7700 and Rolf's, and low mileage, it was worth it. I'm keeping the group and selling the frame set.
As I'm tired of building bikes, and the rat race of dealing with most people, I'll ride the 56cm until I decide not to.
The market certainly appears strong in the asking prices, but I'm of the opinion that $800-$1000 would find a good one.
Compared to some of the bikes on closeout for Christmas, it's still a pretty good bargain, and has that cool factor, too.

Wanted: TA front rack
I'm looking for one of those formerly-dime-a-dozen TA front racks that bolts to the Mafac brake caliper. I have trade goods.

ISO: a threadless stem, for 1" road bike fork, prefer black, prefer bar diam. 26.0 (but flexible on that), prefer a detachable front bar plate (also flexible), but here's the must-have:
must have a stem-clamp height of 40mm (not 50mm)I know they exist cause I have used (and no longer have any) stems with that dimension.
Can work with length of 90mm to 110mm, and angle from 0 degrees to -17 degrees.
Really prefer to NOT use a 1-1/8" stem with a shim.
HAVE: many-many items including other stems, several cro-moly forks, much more. If you have the ideal stem we can work out a trade for goods (or that other thing).
UPDATE: Got one that checks all the boxes except for the face-plate, but I can live with that. Thanks to those that sent offers...
I WILL be needing some more items for this build so will be back with the list when I know specifics.

What I need is a threadless 1" 700c CX fork with cantilever brake bosses and steerer length at least 210mm. I prefer black, but might consider chrome finish.

I have a dark green fork that has canti bosses, a lovely crown and at least that much delicious 1" steerer (but more I believe).

There are a million joke about those Stiffy stems but the one I wouldn't joke about is that there are some that were recalled and I hope you don't plan to ride one of those! Please contact Profile and make sure yours is safe, please!

No one ever contacted me and I didn't read about the recall anywhere. Apparently neither did the LBS.
I trained and raced on that bike for 3 years, and maybe a few more races in later years and never had a problem with the stem.
Oh well, into the junk it goes.
Thanks for the info.
