Best ever (?) shifters for Huret Allvit
I'll never use these, but someone who likes the Allvit might. $20 US including shipping in N.A.
Shimano "Fingertip", velobase has these as lb400 but that looks to be a stem version, these are downtube.
They are not new, but little used; the band has some rust starting, see pics.
They'd be great for an Allvit because they have
- a big cable drum, 23mm (a campy record drum is 16mm), the Allvits need a big drum especially if you are trying for six;
- nice big metal wingnuts to adjust friction;
- extra long levers, to match the drum;
- a clicky-spring gizmo that sort of ratchets each way; and
- a hole that fits a now-standard cable end, not the Huret kind. This means you can use slick stainless inners.
I suspect they may also be lighter than the Huret long levers, but don't have a set of those to weigh.
These ones are just under 152g.
