Well, looky here! I got back from three days in Portland to find fall had sneaked into my back yard:

October is here again, so it's time to bore the pants off everyone that lack orange bikes by posting them here.

I'm just going to post one for now; I just took this this morning to show off the recently-delivered rootboy-original bag (see separate thread).

It's KoF and not C&V so hopefully nobody will complain:

No orange all over bike, the CAAD 10 4 is the Gulf Oil Racing colourway with orange socks and high lights. Not going to insult the C&V with a new bike. Thanks for all the beautiful orange bike pictures and Thanks to DD for starting another OB thread. Glad the good doctor put his "Dales up for us, too. The CAAD 10 is going to be all metal flake orange by next year though.

My Pearl Orange 1983 Lotus Odyssey in as-found condition. Untouched, 100% original with factory accessories and reflectors.

I'm not sure, but I think the original rack is bent this way to provide additional heel clearance for panniers. I've never seen another 58cm 1983 with original racks to do a comparison. The 1984 Odysseys are easier to find than the 1983 models, even though they are similar.

Interesting trivia: If you want an orange Lotus bicycle, your only choice is a 1980-83 Odyssey. I guess Lotus wasn't a fan of orange.

If you're interested, there is more Lotus Odyssey information here:

True, but there are so many beauties just in this thread!

Hard to pass by Aaron's Marnati w/o a second and third look.

But look at Mudboy's pics.

This one speaks to me for sure!

Well this beauty is what they would call pre-vintage, being that it's a 2011 model. Still, it's very orange!

Y'all are driving me nuts! Gorgeous bikes, all. My next bike WILL be orange! (I've been saving the perfect wheel set for quite awhile now . . . ) Maybe I should post a pic of one of my green bikes - what's a pumpkin without a green stem?
