Trainer for a Specialized SL8 Roubaix?

I just bought a 2024 Specialized Roubaix. One thing I noticed later was that I don't think this will fit in my indoor trainer, because the back skewer going through the cassette doesn't stick out, where the cup of the trainer usually holds it. It's flat to the seat stay. Has anyone dealt with this on a SL8 frame? Is there an adapter? Is there a type of trainer that handles this style frame? Thoughts?

Lots of details missing here, but I think you are talking about mounting a through axle frame to a wheel-on trainer. Wheel off trainers should work, like a Zwift Hub one, Kickr, Kickr Core, and others.

There are through axle adapters for trainers. You would have to make sure it's the right kind of adapter, and has the right thread to fit your frame. The kind of adapter you want has caps sticking out on the end of a skewer.

Your trainer also has to be wide enough to handle the 142 spacing of most thru-axles.

That's an interesting thought, but in my experience there are few trainers that aren't wide enough. Most of them would probably take a fatbike.
