Some of the freewheels would be worth something if in good shape and not corn cobs. Getting a nice 13-26 or 14-28 isn't that easy or cheap. If not Campy, DA, Superbe, or Phil in good shape, who would want it. I just wonder.

I probably don't have to mention this, but be sure to remove freewheels before cutting the spokes.

De tension spokes before cutting!! Cutting a hub out of a fully tensioned wheel releases lots of load unevenly and damages hub shells--twists 'em.

One thing I've learned from the Clunker 100 Challenge is that lacking a decent set of wheels makes restoring an old bike on a tight budget impossible. I bet an ad on CL offering the ones you don't want for free would bring a truck to your door within an hour.

I couldn't agree more about listing these on this forum. Find a commercially available box that fits a pair of wheels (see Uline) and charge box cost, plus postage, plus a markup for the bike exchange and I think you will see these wheels disappear.
