2002 Burley Zydeco

I should take better pictures of this bike. I should also take it out more often, but it means my spouse and I need to be ready and willing at the same time.

It's had many upgrades. It currently has 26x1.4" slick tires which we inflate to 80 psi. I did a major upgrade to build the 3x11 drivetrain. Deore XT rocks with those trigger shifters. The cantilever brakes are all we need for all occasions. We even used this to tow a trailer with a huge load from the hardware store, and we had a few hills!

I post this bike every year. This is the newest photo of it, taken 2 weeks before autumn color covered the mountains.

Is the crankset powder coated? Looks beautiful even with an overload of "Cannondale" decals.

Mostly the same as last year but I have a couple of additions I believe:

And the usual suspects:

And a really awful pic of an otherwise nice bike...

Yes, Grand Jubile. It's in pretty amazing condition with only a few nicks and almost all the original parts. Needs a new photo, it now has Nisi rims and Campy hubs for a period correct upgrade.

Cheaper build for my brother, all consumables replaced and a new seat, bars, grips, and pedals. With the bike, it was $225 total... and it's red!

And here I am every month, like a sap, scrolling back through these threads to see if I've already posted my most recent bike that fits the category.

That Mercian is worthy though -- beautiful bike!

Hi Andy

the bike is only 7 speed freewheel gearing. having said that, I'm running the fabled Doppler "1st Gen" shifter, Bernard Hinault edition.

Ok. I don't have any of the first generation dopplers, but I do have a few of the second generation, which work pretty well.

Nov. 1985 build date so 1986 Fisher Montare

And this might have enough red to squeeze by:

Holy cow! Look at that paint line! No need for lug lining when you can get the paint transition so perfect. I like lug lining, but let's be real. One of the key reason that it existed is to cover up a paint line that was not perfect. That is excellent brazing and excellent masking.

And that is on an beautiful bike.
