SRAM DB8: Thoughts?

I'm curious as to the thoughts of anyone who had a look at SRAM's mineral-based, four-piston, entry-level DB8 brakes.

Just a few months ago I upgraded a folder to Shimano entry-level four-piston hydraulics and I couldn't be happier. Nevertheless, I am slowly collecting the hardware for a possible Shigura conversion.

So, are the DB8s good enough on their own, or is anyone already thinking of a SRAgura conversion?

I applaud the effort but they are brand new and probably not a lot of time to actually test them. It would be nice to see high end stuff with mineral oil. I would certainly be looking at SRAM a little more but then again I don't really need to as for flat bar stuff I have tons of options from Shimano, Magura and TRP plus some other stuff as well.

Let’s get serious and talk about YokoMAGuna conversions!

It’s just not a real conversion if it ain’t CampagnHOPEolo!

Vintage ForTRPula conversions are the absolute best!

chaadster when are you going to see the error of your thread-killing ways? It may be only a matter of time before some intrepid MTBer attempts to marry those DB8s to a pair of Maguras - or, even more interestingly, Cura 4s!
