Your Least Favorite Thing About Cycling
So its easy to understand why we all love to ride but what is your least favorite thing about riding?
For me its dogs. not that i dislike animals or anything but i hate getting chased by aggressive dogs when im on a nice ride. i threw in a new road today on my route and got chased by a nasty dog going up a hill. it does force me to do a good sprint so im sure i get some benefit from it but id rather do that on my own time.
I got chased 3 times today twice the owner was outside as well and only one of them tried to do anything to keep there dog from chasing me. the one that did just yelled. i dont blame the dogs as much as the owners though. some dogs just want to chase you and thats fine but others are extremely aggressive and should be keep put up so someone doesnt get hurt or worse.

Other roadies....at least those that ride where I live. Not every ride is a race or even a training ride.

Serious injury or death. All the other stuff is trivial.

-Staying in decent race condition can be all consuming (time on the bike, what you do off the bike, diet, sleep, etc.)
-There's a TON of gear necessary just to ride a damn bike (and none of it is cheap)!
-Winter sucks
-Road rash
Edit: -Leg shaving

I'll second wind. Especially for a 6'4", 215 lb frame on a 61cm bike. I might as well throw up a sail!
I also hate 18 wheelers on 2 lane roads with no shoulder.

Work. It takes up too many good hours out of the week.
