Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New roadie gear.

Is my roadie gear acceptable? Do I get to be in the OCP club?

I get new cycling tights and you insult me?

What's the problem, not my fault I had to fix the tear with duct tape.

It depends - do the tights match anything on your bike?

If I saw you on the road wearing that... I would think it's pretty friggin sweet. That would take balls. Love the socks.

Oh man, I can't stand it! I keep imagining scenarios.

1. Pheard walks into a bike store like that and asks the clerk if this is the appropriate way to fix the rupture.
2. Pheard shows up a a coffee house and tries to talk other bikers into a similar choice of wardrobe.
3. Pheard posts a picture of himself on a major bike forum - ooops, surely he wouldn't do that...

Duct tape.... I was wondering what happened to your junk. Maybe you need another helment.
I think your shirt needs to be tighter for OCP, but I'm not sure since I'm not in the club.

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. The puke was pink and smelt and tasted of duct tape.

You are more OCP than all OCPers combined.
