Let’s try this again...
Finally completed my covid project GT Palomar repaint and rebuild. Took months and way more $ in spray paint than intended because of a painting do-over. Wheels and brakes from a donor bike, components are mostly new and as cheap as I could find. It’s not perfect but it’s mine.

Well done and a very pretty bike. Doesn't it feel just great to finally complete a project, especially one that experienced the full Monty restoration.

Believe it or not, in all of my years of attempting to restore old road bicycles, I have street restored hundreds but painted only four. None turned out to be perfect but all offered great eye candy reward. Funny thing is that not one of the bikes that I painted rode any better at all...

First paint job, rattle can and home made art...

Second paint job, rattle can and home made art...

Third rattle can paint job and Lloyd's art (very poor product - will not buy again)...

Fourth brush applied paint job and Cyclomondo art. Things (results) are getting better and better...

Soon to be brush painted, coupled with art from Velocals, but not sure what color. Yellow? Not sure about that since I have already owned an identical yellow Torpado before and the rust pitted chrome fenders will sport the same color as the frame/fork...

The first yellow Torpado - too small but in lovely original condition...
