Never saw a Tour of Britain Cinelli bar before. The front going curve of the bar noticeably does not go as far frontward as the Campione del Mondo bars do....

It's called half step gearing. Before front derailleur technology advanced enough to shift between a wider variance of chainring teeth quantities, half step gearing allowed an interlacing of gear inches, effectively turning your five speed freewheel into ten 'speeds'.

That chainwheel and crank are the old 151 BCD design and the smallest ring is 44 teeth. The way to tell is to check the distance between the bolts and the crank. IIRC, the strada crank changed from 151 to 144 BCD in 1967. Pista cranks changed later, so be sure to check the width of any ring you are considering.
Your bike has an interesting mix of old and older components. It’s a beauty!

As with the stem and bars, it has taken me a minute to learn about the crankset with some help from people here, To my untrained eye this crankset looked like it could be from the mid 1980s.
Thanks very much for the info!

Here is the Velobase entry for your crankset:
mid-1960's Record Strada Crankset
Compare the difference in the distance from the chainring bolt and the end of the crank arm spider:
151 BCD above
144 BCD dated 1973
mid-1960's Record Strada Crankset
Compare the difference in the distance from the chainring bolt and the end of the crank arm spider:
151 BCD above
144 BCD dated 1973

Interesting combination of eras represented on that bike. You say the frame is likely from 1987. The cranks are decidedly early to mid 1960s, not 1980s. . Ditto for the stem and bars (and add me to the list who never know Cinelli made a Tour of Britain model bar, and that badge, and the stem with the badge is close to a grail item). The rear derailleur looks to be 1970s - check the top of the body above the attaching bolt for a two-digit date code. Other components are equally eclectic as far as date goes.
A beautiful, very fun bike. And don't tell anyone here where you live, or you may find a queue of C&Vers outside your door trying to break in to grab the bar and stem - or maybe the entire bike.

Today a friend is swapping in a '74 Super Record crankset with 52/42T in very nice shape. So, that should ride a little better.
Here is a cool bike my friend loaned me while he tinkers with the Bertrand.
I had never heard of Celo Europa. It rides very nicely, indeed.

Here are some pics of the Campagnolo 1049 Record Crankset that was on the Bertrand. According to Velobase information, if correct, the raised area around the pedal holes would date these before 1962.
I am not sure how to go about making them available for sale. There is a set on Ebay that are not as nice for a very high asking price. They appear to have been there for a long time.
Please any input on how things are done correctly here would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you want to sell on this site, you need to purchase a subscription. Then it is as easy as posting on the for-sale thread.

Earlier today I posted the pics of the crankset on the "appraisal" page not knowing that one is not supposed to say they are for sale! Not great!
