Seriously considered it, but the Campagnolo is a deal breaker. Maybe when I'm 50.

Cyclist was killed last night by a hit and run driver. The car took off through the orchards. Normally they run a TT on that route on Wednesday nights but it was called because of thunderstorms and an tornado warning, but it looks like the rider came out with all his gear and was riding the route on his own. The Saturday Wheelworks Ride also uses that road.

Every rider I know has been on that road. Damn.

That really sucks.

Bit odd to have a hit and run at 5pm on a weekday. Most hit and runs involve DUI, but I guess there are people out there drunk driving on weekday afternoons.

I don't recall. Most of those country roads are just dirt beyond the fogline.

regarding the police video- pretty funny, theres easily 6 cops on top of the guy and the 7th decides to come in and start beating him.
……….
Young and dumb, truth and justice, fantasy
Fresh out of the academy
Five-time loser bust his head, make your day
Unless you're paid off, then you look away
Do you think this corruption will ever stop?
What makes a person want to be a cop?
Ran a red light, storm the house and bust the guy
Do you like to see his children cry?

Pick up a hooker and take her for a little ride
But get sucked off on the side
Sworn to serve and protect, forget the killing
Badge-wearing fascist villain
Pissed in the street, you bust the guy
Do you like to see his children cry?

One thing that may help the investigation is that it's been raining all week and the car took off through the orchards. They should be able to follow the tire tracks or at least get a tire print in the mud.

tough call. I'd love to race and do something different, somewhere different. On the other hand I'd be delaying my drive home and heading a good clip out of my way for a 30 minute crit.

tough call.
I need my ****ing head checked.
