I had a doctor a few years ago who hitched a ride on a snowmobile to Washington Pass, then skied down to Mazama. Her face lit up when she talked about it. I didn't know that was possible. A year ago I skied from the road closure up to the Cutthroat Lake trail and back down. It was exhausting!
