I looked at my Garmin and I was doing at least 2 mph faster, from the 280 underpass all the way to 92. Then, when I turned around at 92, I really felt it!

This winter has provided plenty of opportunities for badassery.

Oh, for the love of..... This is getting ridiculous!

It's over a week away, so they may be wrong, but that would make FOUR MONTHS IN A ROW!!!

Yes, I abided by that law last time we rode together, this was the result:

I'm considering filing suit with the state of California, as I was promised this:

@bikingshearer, I see a class action lawsuit.

Just noticed this seems to be close to home. I'm in HMB. Is this ride still occurring regularly?

Yes we still are meeting regularly. Unfortunately most of us don’t take our vintage bikes out in the rain so it has been canceled the last few months. The next ride is looking possible, but there is a chance of rain, so it may get canceled.

Yes, this Saturday is the next scheduled ride. Usually there’s discussion the day or two before on who’s going (and the weather). Currently the forecast is looking better. Hope to see you there.

Hi Guys, I hope to join you on for this ride one of these days when the timing is right with my schedule. Meanwhile, can someone share a Strava ride that matches the cue sheet? I want to check it out to see if I can keep up with you all. Thanks.

Here's November's ride. As it turns out, this was the last time it WASN'T cancelled due to rain! Cinelliguy and I were supposed to bring our Centurion Ironmen to ride since December!

As for tomorrow? Honestly, it almost looks like the rain is designed to cancel the ride. Here's Weather Underground's prediction for tomorrow morning/early afternoon:

I've been monitoring Weather Underground all week. I kept hoping the 4-5 hours of rain predicted for Saturday AM would shift one way or the other. Still hasn't happened. I'll make a decision if I'm going to do the ride tomorrow morning based on the latest forecast.

I was down there today and besides a little morning fog, it was beautiful! The rain gods are being vindictive.

I'm going to pass on this one. I hope to sneak in a ride in the afternoon if the gods allow, but it does not look like the morning is a good enough bet to justify driving down from Berkeley. I'll be out of town for the April ride, so May is the next possibility for me.

Current chance of rain is about 60%. Last month, I rode when the chance of rain was 9%. And I got soaked.

As of 11 AM, it's raining and windy AF here in San Mateo. We made the right call. I'll ride in the rain, but I have a CF bike for that.

EDIT: Update - Now there's some thunder, too.

Since we couldn't ride, I bought another Paramount this morning. We better get these rides going again or I'm going to run out of room.

Okay, gang. Weather Underground says tomorrow's weather should be "Partly Cloudy", with no more than a 3% chance of precipitation during the ride. I'll see y'all at the rock wall, 10 AM, even in the unlikely event of rain.

I'm bringing the Ironman, unless it rains, in which case I'll bring the un-rustable Cannondale. But I'll be there, regardless.

After so many months and a few new bikes to choose from I couldn't come up with a scenario that would prevent me from attending this ride. Well, the germ gods came up with one for me. I tested positive for Covid on Monday, recovering well, but haven't had a negative test (nor would I ride with a group based on a first negative test). So, I'm out.
