Wow, just wow. Was listening to some old Santana during a PDGM (pretty damn good meal) tonight. Flashed on this.

Jeezzus H Chris this is some time space melding.

Read an interview with Shrieve (19 y/o drummer) and it was pretty much guys trying to kill each other musically.

Just wow.

I picked this album up at a thrift store for a dollar. I thought it had to be awesome being that had a Colnago on the cover. It wasn't.

always fun to peek at the stuff in here from time to time. some cool songs have been posted recently. a local radio station started playing the naked and famous a few months ago, and my kiwi buddy went crazy! punching in a dream is pretty freaking good and is actually in the soundtrack for that pitch perfect movie. (yes, i saw the movie; no, it wasn't my decision to see it.)

as usual, i have a strange assortment of recent listening:

first, sorry to break protocol with a dailymotion link, but the audio on the youtube version is pathetic.

deee-lite - groove is in the heart (this song was in four fashion shows this summer - early 90's psychedelia is back)
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xhnyp_deee-lite-groove-is-in-the-heart_music
blancmange - lose your love (trivia - this music video is briefly shown in a disney movie)

smashing pumpkins - cherub rock (you know, you love it)

raveonettes - aly walk with me (just saw them do this live, and it was crazy)

others sans links:

radiohead - there, there (ideal music for fall)
los lobos - la bamba (unfortunately, i like the remake better than ritchie's)
beez in the trap - nicki minaj (super guilty pleasure)
abba - ¡dame! ¡dame! ¡dame! (spanish version of gimme gimme gimme)
jerry lee lewis - crazy arms (and pretty much any of his other hits)
steve martin & the toot uncommons - king tut (condo made of stone-a)
spacehog - in the meantime (done with parentheticals at this point)
bjork - big time sensuality
junior senior - move your feet
bone thugs n harmony - thuggish ruggish bone (eazy-e of nwa makes a cameo in the video)
van halen - panama

nice mix there. cherub rock takes me back...
also radiohead ftw. listened to in rainbows at work yesterday

also its OK to like nicki minaj!!! she sounds super tight in that song. I dig "rap" nicki more than "pop" nicki newayzz

yeah I BEEN popped out!

lol zapp and roger. YES!!! my fav is I want to be your man.

I've been listening to the "old school" station alot lately. I started for the good stuff, you know, Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder, Arethra, Etta, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Earth Wind n Fire...

But theres alot cheap pop from the 70s and early 80s like Zapp n Roger, Gap Band, One Way, Rick James, Midnight Star. Super fun stuff, always a hit when ppls are around drinking/socializing.

nice man thanks for posting. never heard that one; it was a good listen.

some of my co-workers like to play silversunpickups pandora in the lab or various hipster-centic online playlists, and metric comes on alot, but i only know like 5 or 6 songs. they're cool.

edit: this sounds kinda familiar actually. i may have heard it b4.

I tripped across this gem on one of my recent vinyl purchases. I haven't heard it in at least 30 years.

I'm digging out the bell bottoms, cutting off my mullet and getting a perm.

I'm pretty sure I saw Big John, Cleave and Racer Ex in the crowd on this video.

Now, where did I put my Buckskin boots?

Check out Oliver's tenor solo starting shortly after 4:00. A whole lot of diminished scale/chord outlines in not a whole lot of notes or playing at all. "The Blues and the Abstract Truth" ****'s heavy.
