Well finally had some time to get out last week and test the shoulder and wrist a little more. I think total on the bike outside last week was about 9 hours (give or take). As I don’t use a power meter and don’t track the data on my HRM I can only report that the legs felt great most of the time and heart rate stayed between 146 and 171. I cannot however stand up to sprint as my wrist will not let me but it is getting there it will just take time. Two flats in one ride last week had my wife coming to pick me up and finally got to experience something I never had happen before – I bonked and bonked hard. Didn’t eat properly the night before or at breakfast and forgot food. The result? Went from a 19+ mph pace to 10 mph and was seeing stars for my final 10 miles. I can assure you this will never happen again.
Just some of my rambling…

Better research, or just an outlier? At least there is finally some scientific evidence on the pro-lifting side

Actually took the week off on vacation and my wife coaxed me into painting the house:
Shoulder Surgery + painting the house = shoulder pain like no other
It seems like I am hooked to this forum - actually took the time to see what everyone was up to.

I tend to troll that forum rather than get involved in much as I often seem to ask myself:
"You can't be f@cking serious can you?"

got in a solid four days of riding outside due to the long holliday weekend. Got in a few city limit sprints with a fast group and the numbers are looking good. Got new 5 sec and 1min max power numbers for the year and all I have been doing for the past 2 months is L2/L3 work..... Things are looking good for next Spring.

rode my bike today. 20 mile loop (~1000 ft of up). 3 weeks off, 45 degrees this morning and a chest and head cold.
riding a bike is hard, but at least I should get "it" back in a few weeks

70-mile 6k ride yesterday that hurt a lot more than it would have a month ago. Good news is that my k/d ratio is up near 1.5 in CoD now. These things are probably related.

Little too much running and not enough riding for my goals. Kind of letting the weather dictate my training though.

8 W/kg is pretty solid..at least I know I can still take ya in a 1m sprint..i know you would mop the floor with me in anything more than that, for sure if we go up hill, maybe we can trade a little?
My 5m power puts me just a hair over 5 W/Kg...it's going to be a hard year if I don't start showing some form soon.

windy is feck outside, and cold. Windchill down below 20˚
Still, it's the first day of 2011 for me! And I just spent 2 weeks without touching ass to saddle. So I had to go ride. Did a very short one, w/ 5s and 5m tests just for giggles, then 15 minutes of "feels like threshold but I dare not look at the PM" climbing.
I think most of you could beat me right now.
