Raleigh Lenton Tourist
Hello: does anyone know anything about this bike? Found one at a garage sale today. Fixed the flat and lubed everything and rode it around town. It's a great ride!
It has two different gearing systems. Never saw such and old chain gearing...
I took the rear fender off because it's broken but I kept it.
The lights work.
Now I am thinking of keeping it as a driver. Or is it worth anything? Then I would consider selling it and buy something modern like a Gazelle...

TIA for your thoughts!

That is pretty cool. It is a survivor. You could probably get a decent price for it on eBay. I would say at least $400. However, where on earth would you ever find another one. The frame is Reynolds 531, it has a 3 or 4 speed hub with possibly a Benelux derailleur and shifter, a 3 or 4 speed shifter, a Brooks saddle, a working front GH6 dynohub + probably some other cool details that I am missing.
Bike does look a little small for if the way it is set up is the way you ride it (make sure the stem isn't too high to be safe).
I didn't see a pic of the hub. Wipe the oil off of it and read the make and date codes.
