Norway
Hi all. Planning on cycling the north sea route to Norway next year. The basic itinerary for the route is a follows. The Hague (Holland, Germany, Denmark to Hirtshals, for a boat to Oslo), (Oslo to Jotunheimen national park (Lom) to climb Galdhoppigan) and then Lom to Bergen to fly back to the UK.
My question here is to ask everyone if they have cycled from Lom to Bergen on the west coast? Ive been told that there are some notorious roads with heavy traffic (with some long tunnels) between Lom and Bergen. if anyone knows a good cycle friendly quieter route to Bergen id be happy to hear.
Thank you in advance

You don't need to ask such question here. Use google earth/maps to plan your route and go to street view and you will see if it is empty of full of traffic. Spend a few weeks planning like this and you will make a heavenly route.

With respect. I’m a seasoned touring cyclist, and this question is correctly posted here. People’s opinions and experiences are being asked. Therefore please think again before offering an obviously rhetorical reply.

If you're worried about traffic, I'd recommend flying to Tromsø and riding to Bergen. In 2016 my wife and I rode from Tromsø to Trondheim. It was exceptional! There was very little traffic, the riding was great, and the landscapes were fantastic. We didn't quite make it to Bergen because a big storm was approaching. But if the roads were anything like what we rode to get to Trondheim, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
