Not to be- as soon as I posted got a reply it sold. I think someone got a serious score (and has some serious elbow grease to apply).

1983 Trek 500, 22-1/2". Listed at $240 (but the listing is a month old, so perhaps it has sold by now).

Bikes: See my albums. I find that listing them here messes up searching.

You said something along the lines of "if it's what it looks like"...but i have no idea what you meant. I'm intrigued...can you elaborate?

A rough looking 70s Cinelli Super Corsa, being sold by someone who really has no idea (was listed as 'antique racing bike....'). She also had a couple other far, far lesser bikes for sale for about the same $$.

'We got your dirty deeds, done dirt cheap"
615 for $50. Posted 7 hrs ago.

Looks like some surface rust on cable braze ons above TT and it does have the "Terry Geometry" style with smaller front wheel but $50 is $50

https://austin.craigslist.org/bik/d/...419832210.html

Miyata Road Bike Small - $50 (Southeast Austin)

This is an extra road bike we had kept in garage last couple years. It worked well for someone around 5 feet tall. Selling as is, meaning its been awhile since ridden and have not tested. Worked great a couple years ago on bike tour from Toronto to D.C.

44cm or 17 inches, measured from top of seat tube to crank shift.

Carlton Corsa $40

Seller says:

"Vintage project bike $40
Old Carbon Cobra bike. Very used. Project bike. "

Yep, that Carlton Corsa decal is so hard to read.... Pretty dirty, but looks like it's decent underneath all that muck. Pump included!

Carlton Corsa $40

Even for $40, I don't understand why a seller wouldn't at least hose the thing off before posting it. Seems to be a regular thing. Spend 20 minutes and bikes would look much better. I assume people just want the bike out of the garage and don't want to spend any time with it.

Anyone who would call that bike a "Carbon Cobra" would not care what it looked like. Probably clearing out an estate.

Might just be the "find of the year", but clearly will need much restro work. Still, that's the perfect Winter Project for some of us!

Most of the antique shows discourage cleaning found items if you don't know what you are doing. At $40 I'd be ok with that.

If it's any consolation: this is one of them with "no Columbus tubing decal" which often means an Aelle or Tre-Tubi "budget model".

That's certainly true. I think there is a difference between scrubbing 200 years of patina off a brass candlestick or cold bluing a Revolutionary War musket and hosing off a dusty bike. Also true that dust and debris might camouflage a bargain. If that contributes to a seller posting a low price, I'm all for it.

I am unfamiliar with the Corsa. Would this be a high tensile frame?

These usually seem to sell for more. Basically you're getting a frame and forks set for $300 with some spare parts, but it's an impressive set anyway

Ps. When seller says "Is missing back tire", I think she means whole wheel.
