Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Have this picture of snow across the street instead:

How much snow is that

Where is this? Buffalo area? lake affect snow?
When I was growing up in NoVA I used to dream of days with this much snow. The DC area rarely gets more than 2 or 3" at a time.

Now I live where the sand looks like snow. Seriously, we've had people down from MN that are confused with the sand looking like snow here.

It was only a few blocks but it was one of the funnest rides home ever. My roommate was *super* drunk and ended up cracking the frame of his glasses but good times were had by all.

riding & shootin

one day at polo we were hit with a bunch of flurry storms from out of nowhere.
a cloud of snow would swirl around us for a while, leave, and return. it was pretty.

I hate snow more than anything except.... how much I love being on my bike.
27 mph sustained winds w/ 35 mph gusts today, I rode to work and back. kinda fun.
I still hate snow, but it's not gonna keep me off my bike.

I hate riding in the snow. I stayed in and did homework today. I need to zip-tie my rear wheel.
