Day 5 of of staycation. Up at 5:30. I walked Roscoe, made coffee did some work then drank said coffee. After going to my appointment I will saunter over to Costco for glasses. The rest of the day is open save for ironing those 2 shirts for next week.

In case anyone is wondering, I am 14 hours out from Moderna #3. Arm is medium sore, and overall feel midly-to-medium crappy. I am hoping this will resolve during the day. I would say the strength of the reaction is about 50% of #2, and coincidentally the dose of the shot was also 50% of the first two.

Crashes?....what are those?
my best was on a road with a steep incline at a hywy junction. On the way up I shifted down to the small ring, but the derailleur didn't shift due to the massive amount of force I was exerting climbing in the big ring. Near the top of the incline I let up a little on the pressure. The derailleur took that opportunity to throw the chain off to the inside. When that happened all my weight went forward over the bars, which which then flipped full right, and down I went. Left knee onto the spokes of the front wheel, stretching 2 of them so bad I had to loosen the cable on the brake . Broke my shifter, and crankset too.

LSS is on the hunt for a new coffeemaker, not happy with her current “piece of crap”, her words not mine. We use separate coffee makers, she is fussy about her coffee, and not a French press fan. Likes to start with whole beans. What recommendations do we have on the high end or semi-high end?

I just got back from the office, and walked in to the painters retaping and covering everything. The guy looked at me and said, "You know that bottle of whiskey?" I responded, "Yeah, I'm not getting it am I?"

It was a few years ago. They ran out of ambulances, from what I understand. After my wreck, it started to rain, and it didn't cross my mind to ask how the rest of the day went.

I don't really do drip, but the Moccamaster Technivorm is supposed to be one of the better machines out there. And then there's St James Hoffman's personal choice -

"Work," for me consisted of being a warm, clinically credentialed, body on site to supervise something in the lab, doing some writing, and attending a couple of meetings remotely, I assume you're actually working!

My long-time bartender friend and her family recently moved from Philly to Fayetteville. They really like it, Her family has owned a lake house about 45 min. away for a long time. She comes back to Philly every other weekend to work. But that won't last forever.
