Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Don't we have this same conversation every couple of months?

Yeah, both and both get old. But what do I know, I just care about bikes.

Just feel lucky if you've never spent time in the road forum. Talk about a bunch of creeps.

quite obviously, I haven't spent all my time on SSFGF recently, so I'm not aware that you have all had this conversation before,

Regardless, does anyone actually and seriously believe vw addict was literally asking for photos. At least to me, it was a comment more self-referential to BF in general than a specific attack against the female members of this forum.

But whatevers, since it seems I'm late to this "discussion" could someone send me the minutes of the prior discussions, so I can get up to speed and know how it ends?

wow, julie and jose are both right. i wanted to express the problem with bags for ladies but i knew some guys were going to make jokes about it. that's the way they are. i wish i could say boobs till i was blue in the face and there wouldn't be any jokes about it. i knew guys would make comments and that's why i wrote what i wrote. had i not, i think the comments would still have been made. i didn't take offense, and apologize if any other women were offended. not saying julie was offended. since there has been such an upsurge of female riders, i figured they should know about the bag solution that i found.
soooooo my baileys bag is so great. i carried two 4 liter jugs of wine, 4 lbs of cheese and a cheese knife the other day. my chest felt great. even my mother didn't make a comment. she usually finds bags that separate down the middle of the chest tacky.

no. but the joke (obviously i use this term loosely) is irritating, desperate, and incredibly tiresome.

here's the executive summary: it's not necessary to attach puerile comments to any discussion involving women/boobs/etc. you guys think you're funny? original? we've heard it all before, and were probably f-cukin sick of it far before you were "clever" enough to think it. grow up.

It is nice to see such laid-back attitudes being displayed... Say your piece sensibly or flag it to the mods. No need to be so strident.

I don't see what's wrong about objecting to juvenile behavior. That kind of childish, idiotic commenting is one of the reasons why people have fled this forum in droves. Granted, this thread was nowhere near as extreme as some, but still - it's irritating and exceedingly tiresome. Grow up, indeed.

The frat-kids at Rutgers are more tactful than some of you... disgusting.

Last time I was in Portsmouth I looked all over for Bailey Works but couldn't find it. Where are they moving to?
