52T Takagi lightweight crankset for fixed gear?
So I found this crankset online and planning to buy it as i think it would look awesome on my 1970s Centurion Le Mans. Just wondering if this would perform well on a fixed gear set-up? Seller says it's not cottered pin but I don't see any bolts which is the basis of my worries as I live in a quite hilly area. Thoughts?

No, it is not a cottered crank. If you remove the dust covers, you can install a bolt to connect it to a square taper bottom bracket. The swaged chainring, however, is not removable, so you will not be able to change the gearing. It can certainly be used in a singlespeed or fixed gear setup.

Takagi was a popular manufacturer up until the mid 80s when it was purchased by Shimano. Many of their cranksets were marked Tourney and were swaged, like the ones in the OPs photo.

I work with vintage road bikes a lot and these are very common. I think the 52 tooth is too big for hills unless you want to put a massive cog on the back. You cannot change the chainring as someone else said I'll said but I have seen a lot of low budget fixed gear conversions with these cranks. It's just a normal square taper crank.

Make sure your chainline is good. Those low-end, swagged chainrings are known to collapse if you have a really ****** chainline.

Sure, I would use a cog on the 18-20 tooth range.
