Acorn handlebar bag stabilization cords
I recently followed a suggestion here and purchased one of these:
Those horizontal cords near the bar-ends are problematic. With my compact drops and limited frame size (head tube height), it just isn't working. I also don't have a mount for a front rack.
Is anyone using some sort of alternate configuration?

It looks as though you could run a shock cord down to the dropout or fender stay like on the old Eclipse or Cannondale bags.

A shockcord through that loop at the rear bottom of bag and around your headset will stabilize it nicely.

I have the same bag, I ran the cords up and under the hoods then down to the side of the bag.
I also have the cord running thru the back loop and then around the head tube or the stem.

Could you just connect the two straps around the headtube just under the headset?

I think the idea is something like this- with an elastic strap maintaining tension so the bag doesn't bounce around:

@Andy_K and I came up with an inexpensie way to use bent stainless steep tubing to do that. I can't find the post, I'm reasonably sure Andy can, hopefully he'll see this and post.
