1,000 mile month!!!!
I just finished up my first ever 1,000 mile month. I have had much harder months of riding but never this many miles. For the month of April I ended up with 1,030.65 miles.
I probably won't do it again any time soon but it's nice to accomplish a goal.

Outrageous!
let me guess, you're single w/o kids, right?
I thought I was doing good to hit 2,000 miles for the year today.
Good job, keep pedaling!

Tell us how you did it? What was this past month's pedaling routine?

Dang, that's a lot of miles! Hopefully they were all injury and accident free.

Dang, that's 2/3 of what I normally do in a season.

When going up hills or in the wind I pedaled hard. When on flat ground with no wind I pedaled moderate. When riding downhill I pedaled sometimes, other times I didn't.
Thanks and good luck.
One guy I rode with had a crash on one of our rides this month but that was the only accident. I have been having some pain in my achilles but it was much better today so hopefully I'm about over that.
Young compared to some but an old man compared to others.
Married, no kids, house to take care of, full time job and a small family business. I just really enjoy riding, especially since less than a year ago I thought I would never ride again.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Nope, weather sucked and the wind made it even worse. I think every ten miles felt like fifteen. I have never seen an April like this one and I really hope the weather starts getting better soon.
Congrats and RICE

Sure, take 'em, they're yours.
Thank ya.
Thanks, probably won't have another month with this many miles for a while. Need to get back to doing some intervals.
I get off work at 5:00 so that usually gives me about three hours of riding. I also try to ride two or three days over the weekend since I work four-ten hour days at my real job.
Thank ya.

Were not too far from you and this April has really sucked big time. Today I was surprised by a high water ahead sign. No way I was backtracking so I plowed ahead....up to my front deraillure hanger. Pretty impressive.

I came up on a spot like that a couple of weeks ago. Had I not been riding 50mm carbon wheels I would have went through it. I just didn't like the idea of filling the rims up with water so I swallowed my pride and found another (longer) route.

I ride Mavic Kysiriums. Honestly the thought never occurred to me. I did remove my seat post and emptied out the frame when home.
