Nishiki serial number.
I have a nishiki olympic 12 bike with the serial number S1 1D012. I looked at the serial number guide in a thread in a post in here, it might be before 1975 but according to the guide for it to be before 1975 the S should be in the"y" but its the very first number of the serial so its the "x". Tyia.

There are component date codes on the back of most components. Locate some and then go here with them.

I was just given, yes, given, a Nishiki Pro bike frame that had been outfitted with primarily Zeus components. The gift was from the son, who is an old friend of mine, of his father's bike that I had cherished when I was a young man. I just joined this forum and although I have learned about the bike from the information stamped on the bottom bracket, I have not seen the serial number on the bike. I am assuming that stamping on the bb is not the sn as there would be many of these repeated. Where do I look for the SN?
