This thing looks sick. Scott CR1 SL. It's an 860 gram frame!!! On a supposed comfort bike. I bet this thing is still fast.
Anyone been on this one?

I recently built a CR1 Pro and I it beats my old ride Tarmac Comp. I was looking for a more comfortable position and I achieved it all out. I can get low in the drops too. It's a ride that I can ride at great length. I must say the matte black that's out right now is hot. CC has a great deal on them with Force.

I did a 70 mile test ride on the CR1 Pro, with an eye towards getting the SL. It had Force and some mid-grade Mavic wheels, and weighed about 16 pounds (size XS) on my bathroom scale. Same exact geometry.
I liked it a lot. Felt like the power was going directly to the road, it was pretty stiff compared to my Ti bike. Super stable handing, which I liked. I don't ride a huge drop, so I was able to achieve pretty close to my ideal position on it. I want to ride the next size down, though as it set up just a hair too long.
It's gorgeous in person, I'm trying not to fall in love with it before riding my size.

Damn that Scott!
I picked one up at the LBS when I was dropping off my CAAD for upgrades and OMG!
It's sick how light it is (14lbs wet). It's gorgeous. I didn't even want to ride it
(thinking I'd start loosing sleep in scheming on how to buy one).
I think a Dura Ace 7900 is in the neighborhood of $6,000.-$6,500.

Scott makes an amazing frame. The CR1 has been a popular choice at our shop lately. I got to test ride it around our parking lot just a bit, and it feels nicer compared to carbon framed bikes in the similar price range.

that bike isnt allowed to be raced. ITS A COMFORT BIKE FRAME!
I really like the frame in all seriousness. A guy on our MWF 6am ride has one built w/ Red and EC90 tubulars and he said it weighs 13.5lb with 56mm deep wheels. He also has a set of custom built tubulars that weigh only 1000g for climbing (yet another 350g lighter...holy crap)
those bikes are awesome...but out of my price range.

It makes me sad that HTC went over to Specialized.....Scott makes some awesome bikes! HTC going to Specialized and Leopard Trek riding Treks.....it is so depressing.
