Perfect balance on the ALDI stand. I paid $30 maybe 6 years ago, works great. With 5 legs, it does take up some floorspace when opened.

While both very similar, the Aldi uses knobs to tighten everything into position; the Lidl uses four legs and cam-activated quick releases instead of knobs—a marked improvement in my opinion.

That's true, but IME it is more stable than the portable stands from Park and Feedback Sports. And for ~$30US, it's hard to go wrong.
