Bike Virginia 2022
Does anyone know what is going on with Bike Virginia? I have received a few announcements, but signup is not open yet.

I been checking Bike Virginia website daily looking for updates. I have also sent several emails asking for more details but have not received a response. It's very puzzling. I have no idea what's going on.

But unfortunately we all got notification yesterday that the 2022 Bike Virginia Tour has been cancelled. Or "postponed," as they call it. No word on refunds, insurance or anything else. I guess my $500 was a donation.

Yes it is! Are you going?
The food situation is a little confusing. Same cost this year without food as previous with. Hopefully there will be lots available, but I guess I'll fill my trunk with Clif Bars just in case.

I am seriously considering it. I have never done quality rides on successive days, before (usually rest a day or take it easy), but it seems a nice challenge. What can I expect in the "butt-soreness" department on a scale from one to ten? The climbing is more than I am used to, but then again, I have never had a problem with biting off more than I can chew I like the fact that they have yoga, meditation and massage (and showers!).
I would like a lot more detail on what the food-availability situation is going to be. It sounds like you would have to walk, drive or ride into the town center at night to get some kind of dinner, and carry the rest during the day?
The only question I have at this point is where the ride ends. It looks like it is going to be Harrisonburg, but how do we all get back to our cars (and, for me, the train station) at Staunton? I'm going to give this to March 1 to decide, because I still have a few logistics holes to fill in, and it looks like you still have some questions, too.
