Cannondale Sizing help
Hello,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask the question, buy maybe you guys can help me.
I want to buy a Cannondale Topstone Carbon 4 and I`m not sure what size to order M or L.
From my research I have seen that I fit between these sizes.
My dimensions:
Height: 180 cm (5ft 11inch)
Foot length: 87 cm (34.52 inch)
Arm length: 60 cm (23.6 inch)
Wingspan: 186 cm (6ft 1.2 inch)
- from the official Cannondale website they recommend the size M, but from what I see they are taking into account only the height:
- from other websites that sell bikes they recommend L size because I see that they are taking into account height, leg length, arm length.
Can someone help me pick the correct size?. Thank you

Your feet are almost 3' long? I dont think any bike will fit you.
All seriousness, you are between an M and an L. You are on the small end of L, per their site.
I would compare the stack and reach measurements between an M and L to your current bike(s) and choose based on that(assuming you cant test ride).
Related note- the bottom bracket drop on that bike is goofy. 59mm and 61mm on the two largest frames?
Its 75mm of drop on the aluminum Topstone models. Why is the carbon model 14-16mm less drop?

^^ "Racing"? I dunno, they advertise 650b compatibility which is what I'm doing to mine. Not a lot of stack height either.
I went with the medium, which is in between the alloy medium and large. I figured more seatpost extension was good. I have a 110mm stem fitted to mine at the very top of the steerer and it fits me well, I'm 6'.
How are you measuring arm length? If I measure from shoulder to wrist it's ~23.25".
My torso length is 25.5"

Why leave it up to the internet? The best way to fit a bike is through professional help and test drives. Go to a bike shop that sells Cannondale and let them help you get the right bicycle for your needs.

Topstone runs large. Go for the M. I’m 6’4’’ and feel that I fit well on the L—when I test rode it.
You could always get a longer stem for a M … but I’ve found sizing down a stem you’re more likely to not like it in the long run.
