In addition to the gruesome pictures I posted earlier, here are some more at a beautiful lookout somewhere on the auto road.
Me smiling after seeing my time. After the earlier pics, I was fist pumping when I saw the clock.

Sprinting for 2nd place at the NJ State Crit. My team didn't stick to plan. Had to make up ground. I was hurting here, more than I should have. Found out after the race that my rear brake was rubbing so hard on the wheel that the barrel adjuster had to be loosened to remove it. Decided to use a set of Zipps for the race that have never been tested. Stupid mistake on my part. Nothing new on race day!!! Yesterday was my final race of the season. Getting married in 32 days and put in for my Cat3 upgrade last night.

It was Mike, actually - he moved me up the right on the back-side of the course, then he got pinched to the left but it made a (small) opening to the right and I took it. Hammered through the hard corner so hard I almost hit the outside curb!
Btw video of the race is up too: https://vimeo.com/14555720 - kinda cool to see how the breakaway formed, etc. I need to get out of the "no way the break will stick" mindset of the 4's though... almost half of my eight 3's races have ended with people off the front so far.

Off the front in the pain cave. In the blue and black skinsuit tucked in behind the guy in green. We stayed away; I got second with the pack literally on our heals and no time to play games.
